ปั๊มไฮดรอลิค

ระบบไฮดรอลิคได้รับแรงดันจากปั๊มไฮดรอลิค  เราแบ่งปั๊มออกเป็น 2  ประเภทดังนี้

• ปั๊มแบบเกียร์

• ปั๊มแบบลูกสูบที่ปรับความจุได้ ( variable  - displacement pumps )

    ปั๊มแบบเกียร์ มีลักษณะเป็นแบบเฟืองหมุนขบกัน  และขับดันน้ำมันไฮดรอลิคให้เกิดความดันที่สูงขึ้น  ข้อเสียก็คือ  แรงดันขึ้นอยู่กับความเร็วรอบของเครื่องยนต์  และวิธีเดียวที่จะได้แรงดันสูงสุด  คือ เร่งเครื่องยนต์ให้กำลังที่ได้มากสุด

ปั๊มแบบเกียร์

    ปั๊มแบบลูกสูบที่ปรับความจุได้  ประกอบขึ้นจากลูกสูบหลายอัน บรรจุอยู่ในทรงกระบอกขนาดใหญ่  ลักษณะคล้ายกับลูกโม่ของปืนพก   เครื่องยนต์ต่อกับทรงกระบอก และหมุนทรงกระบอก ทำให้กระบอกสูบยืดและหด  โดยปลายของกระบอกสูบทุกอันต่อกับแผ่นจาน (Swash plate)  เมื่อทรงกระบอกหมุน  แผ่นจานทำมุมเอียงจะหมุนตาม  และผลักให้กระบอกสูบชักเข้าและออก  ในรูปภาพเมื่อแผ่นจานดึงกระบอกสูบออก  มันจะเกิดสูญญากาศดูดน้ำมันออกจากถัง   และเมื่อกระบอกสูบถูกอัดเข้า  น้ำมันไฮดรอลิค  จะถูกอัดเข้าไปในระบบ

ปั๊มแบบลูกสูบที่ปรับความจุได้

       ปั๊มแบบลูกสูบที่ปรับความจุได้  สามารถปรับจำนวนน้ำมันที่อยู่ในปั๊มได้  โดยการเปลี่ยนมุมของจาน   ถ้าแผ่นจานวางอยู่ในแนวเดียวหรือขนานกับทรงกระบอก (มุมเป็นศูนย์)  จะไม่มีการปั๊มน้ำมันออก   และถ้าเอียงทำมุมน้อย  ความแตกต่างของน้ำมันในลูกสูบทางซ้ายกับขวามีน้อย  ก็จะปั๊มน้ำมันออกไปได้น้อย  ถ้าเอียงมาก สามารถปั๊มน้ำมันออกไปได้มาก

      มุมของแผ่นจานจึงใช้ควบคุมปริมาณของน้ำมันในระบบไฮดรอลิคได้  เมื่อเซนเซอร์วัดความดันที่อยู่ในกระบอกไฮดรอลิค  และต้องการปรับอัตราการไหลของน้ำมัน   มันจะส่งสัญญาณไฟฟ้าไปที่อุปกรณ์ควบคุมเพื่อปรับมุมของแผ่นจาน  ข้อดีของปั๊มมีดังนี้

1. การเปลี่ยนมุมของจานให้ประสิทธิภาพดีกว่า    เมื่อระบบไฮดรอลิคต้องการน้ำมันน้อยลง  ปั๊มพวกนี้สามารถปรับเปลี่ยน และตอบสนองได้ทัน   ถ้าไม่มีการทำงาน ปั๊มสามารถหยุดการจ่ายน้ำมันได้ทันที
2. เครื่องยนต์มีความเร็วรอบไม่คงที่   ถ้าความเร็วรอบมาก กำลังจะได้มาก  ถ้าความเร็วน้อย กำลังจะน้อย   การปรับมุมสามารถรองรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงความเร็วรอบของเครื่องยนต์ได้ดีกว่า

     กำลังของแบ็กโฮได้จาก  อัตราการไหล คูณด้วยความดันของน้ำมันไฮดรอลิค   แรงดันมากหรือน้อยขึ้นอยู่กับภาระที่กระบอกไฮดรอลิคต้องรับ   ถ้ายกของหนักต้องใช้แรงดันมากกว่า ยกของเบาเป็นต้น

ปั๊มไฮดรอลิค

      ถ้าปั๊มไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนความจุได้   อัตราการไหลของน้ำมันจะคงที่  ทุกๆความเร็วรอบของเครื่องยนต์   และเนื่องจาก  อัตราการไหลคูณกับความดันสูงสุดของน้ำมัน ไม่สามารถเกินกำลังของเครื่องยนต์ได้  ระบบไฮดรอลิคที่ใช้ปั๊มประเภทนี้ จึงต้องใส่วาวล์ป้องกันความดันสูงสุดไว้    เมื่อแรงดันเกินกว่าค่าหนึ่ง  วาวล์จะเปิดและปล่อยให้น้ำมันไหลย้อนกลับเข้าถังเก็บ  เป็นการสูญเสียพลังงานโดยเปล่าประโยชน์

      ปั๊มที่สามารถเปลี่ยนค่าความจุได้   จะไม่มีปัญหานี้  ระบบมีตัวเซนเซอร์ตรวจวัดความดันของกระบอกไฮดรอลิค  ถ้าระบบไม่ต้องการความดันมาก  ปั๊มจะเพิ่มอัตราการไหล โดยปรับมุมของจานให้เอียงมากขึ้น  กระบอกสูบไฮดรอลิคเลื่อนได้เร็ว  แต่มีแรงกระทำน้อย   แต่ถ้าระบบต้องการแรงดันสูง  ปั๊มจะลดอัตราการไหล  คูณกับความดันสูงสุดไม่เกินจากกำลังของเครื่องยนต์
